1. No Personal Data Collection
We respect your privacy. The Weekly Anime Schedules application is designed to function without collecting, transmitting, or storing any personal or sensitive user data on remote servers. We do not require user accounts, nor do we harvest personal information.
2. Local Device Data (Offline Storage)
To provide a personalized experience, the app saves certain information locally on your device:
- Watchlists & Bookmarks: The anime you track, bookmark, or mark as completed.
- App Settings: Your UI preferences, theme selection, and notification settings.
- Alarm Preferences: Locally scheduled reminders for airing episodes.
All of this data is stored strictly offline within your device's internal storage. It is never uploaded to our servers, shared with third parties, or used for remote tracking.
3. Device Permissions (Notifications & Alarms)
To alert you when an anime episode airs, the app may request permissions to post notifications and schedule exact background alarms (e.g., POST_NOTIFICATIONS and SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM on Android).
These permissions are used exclusively on your device to trigger local alerts. We do not use these permissions to track your behavior, and the alarm scheduling process communicates with no external servers.
4. Third-Party Services & Network Requests
While we do not collect personal data, the app requires an internet connection to function:
- Content Retrieval: The app makes standard HTTP requests to our CDN (Content Delivery Network, provided by Cloudflare) to fetch anime timetables, metadata, and images. While standard, non-identifying server logs (such as IP addresses) are temporarily processed for security, rate-limiting, and content delivery, they are not linked to your identity.
- External Links: The app may contain links to external streaming platforms (e.g., Crunchyroll, Netflix) or databases (e.g., MyAnimeList). Clicking these links opens your device's web browser. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party websites.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Because Weekly Anime Schedules does not store any of your data on remote servers, you have complete and immediate control over your information.
To delete all data associated with the app, you simply need to:
- Clear the app's storage data via your device's system settings; OR
- Uninstall the application from your device.
Doing so permanently removes all your watchlists, settings, and alarms from your device.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
